Last year I bought some really good moisturiser from The Body Shop after not buying anything from them since I was a teen… I know *gasp* What?!
I guess I just forgot what the hype was about their stuff; I know they don’t test on animals and a lot of their stuff is vegan (I’m not sure if it’s 100% vegan?!) but I just never really thought about going there specifically.
And then I had this URGE. So I went and I bought some vitamin E facial cream. Which was amazing. And then I bought some Vitamin C cream. Which was amazing. So I went back yesterday, because my stock ran out and I repurchased from the Vitamin E and C range, but with slightly different variations.
I don’t know about you but I love THICK moisturiser. I don’t like the light stuff that is liquid-y, I really like cream that is… creamy. So rather than get the Vitamin E cream for all skin types, like I did last time, I went for the Intense Moisture Cream for dry skin.
I wouldn’t say I have dry skin, per say, but I do feel like the more moisture I can get the better. Does that make any sense? Basically my skin isn’t dry on the outside but I feel like it’s crumbling into nothingness on the inside.
I used it last night and this morning and it’s luxurious. A little goes a long way and I’m excited to pour it all over my face!!
I also bought the Vitamin C Skin Reviver which, to be honest, I only got because it was buy one get one free. I love the Vitamin C range but it’s all very light and serum-y which I’ve already said… I’m not totally in love with. But I do think it’s because I was using it as a moisturiser before because I had the moisturiser before and it wasn’t doing it for me. I’m enjoying the fact that this little pump action serum is easy to pop on right when I wake up so I can go for my morning walk AND treat my skin at the same time.
Lastly I feel like I really treated myself when I bought this Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask because this stuff is insane. There were a few masks I was mulling over but as soon as I saw this one I knew it was what my skin needed. I always trust my intuition with basically everything I do and buy so I knew, as soon as I picked this up, that it was going to be The One. I used it last night and it’s honestly already transformed my skin and my night time ritual. The smallest amount makes my whole face so soft and glowy. Like, excuse me… this magic or what?! Couldn’t recommend more and, honestly, I’m kind of tempted to splurge and buy a few more masks. The pot is also v. cute and I can see myself reusing it once it’s done and dusted but I also pray for the day The Body Shop do the whole exchange of empty bottles for a free product like Lush do!
I will actually be posting my skin care routine very soon because I really love seeing and reading about other people’s and mine has changed a little since I last did one so huzzah!
I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you don’t mind that the links are affiliates because I love The Body Shop and I wanna share it with you but I also want to add a little cushion to my bank account for a rainy day. Not that I ever make money from affiliate links but I just wanna be honest!
Talk soon!

There was a good long period where I was obsessed with their tea tree face mask! I’ve tried a couple of other things from them, but wasn’t crazy about them. I’m glad you’re liking your stuff though!

This matcha mask is super soft and lovely but I’m not in love with their makeup range – all their moisturisers are so good though!!!

Exactly – I feel like they aren’t great at advertising/ marketing themselves but they’re so good!
