DIY // Mini Pot Pourri jars

The smell of Christmas is one of the best smells in the world. I’m sure I’ve spoken about smells before, I love them… good ones, obviously!

At Christmas you get all the great candles and pot pourri in the shops and so, being that I can’t resist buying random stuff I don’t really need, I bought a big bag of Marks and Spencer’s Mandarin, Clove and Cinnamon pot pourri. The only issue I had was I didn’t have a bowl to put it in [because that would mean I’m smart and I’m not] and so for a few days I just had an open bag.

Whilst that worked it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, pretending to be an adult and all so I did what all self respecting adults do. I bought tiny jars instead.

My thinking is that it will make it easier to distribute the smell of Christmas through my flat. So far, so good!

I don’t know why I was thinking of just getting one bowl when that limits the smell to one room! Buying tiny jars means I can move the smells around and it also means it’s not overpowering because WOW is this stuff strong!

Sadly I need to buy one more jar, which is bigger, because there are some HUGE pine cones that need to be stinking up the place but until then I now have these cute little pot pourri jars which not only smell good but look good, too!

I think you could possibly make them a little nicer with some jar decorations – I might get some ribbon for them or something but for now I’m digging them. I have yet to decorate the flat so until I do these are my pride and joy!

Please let me know if you have any cute Christmas DIY things which are easy. I’m thinking of making a fake fireplace for a wall… we’ll see how un-lazy I am this weekend!
